Flower description:



Red algae with dark red-brown thallus 0.5-5 cm long. Axes are irregularly branched and bear alternate determinate laterals 0.5-1.2 mm long from each second segment1

Distinguishing characteristics (within family/genus):

The basal branch of determinate laterals is simple and laterals are 0.5-1.2 mm long1
