Family Description:
Parasites on trees and shrubs. Flowers red, yellow or green, long and slender with stamens joined to strap-shaped segments. The bud is club-shaped and the fruit is a berry surrounded by a viscous layer. Mistletoe birds eat the berries and deposit the seeds on branches of host trees.
