Flower Description:

Red-brown to grey-brown glumes ¹

Habit:

Slender perennial sedge with culms to 90 cm high ¹

Distinguishing characteristics (within family/genus):

Culms are grey-brown, spikelets are red-brown. Leaves are basal and reduced to a short, erect sharp point. Culms have 1-3 nodes ¹
