Distribution and ecological preference at Wilsons Promontory (if known):

Common, especially on sandy soils. Particularly common north of Darby River, for example along Cotters Lake track. Grows in damp coastal sands and wet or inundated habitats 1

This species has leaves that are reduced to tubular sheaths at the stem base, flowers are in globular clusters that are up to 20 mm in diameter 1
