Widespread in southern and central Victoria from coastal heathland to dry box forest ¹

Flower Description:

Deep blue (rarely pinkish, white or yellow) ¹

Habit:

Terrestrial orchid arising from underground tuber, 6-15 cm tall ¹

Distinguishing characteristics (within family/genus):

The leaf is linear and 4-8 cm long. Flowers are sweetly scented. The lateral lobes of the labellum are fringed near the tips but otherwise entire. The column is purple with deep purple markings. The labellum calli are linear and are toothed or hairy ¹
