Family Description:
Dodder-laurels are perennial creeping or climbing parasites, becoming rootless at maturity. Leaves are tiny and scale-like, hairy on the upper surface. Tiny white or green flowers are in dense clusters. Fruit is berry-like and crowned by the remains of the perianth. The tangled mass may kill the host.
