Distribution and ecological preference at Wilsons Promontory (if known):

Moist, deep soils in gullies. Can be in drier situations but trees are smaller. Can be seen on the main road to the Isthmus 1

Bark is smooth and white with ribbons hanging from limbs, juvenile leaves are narrow-lanceolate, stalkless and opposite. Fruit and buds are in threes in the form of a cross 3
